Download sitta

Free to install. Free to use. The AI is the part you pay for, and only if you want it.

VERSION 1.0.2 · MACOS · PREMIERE 26.2 OR LATER

Installing takes a minute

sitta installs like any Adobe plugin. Quit Premiere first, or it will not see it.

  1. Quit Premiere. The installer cannot register the panel while Premiere is running.
  2. Double-click the file you downloaded. Adobe's own installer opens and asks you to confirm. Accept.
  3. Open Premiere.
  4. Go to Window > UXP Plugins > Vireo - AI Story Editor.
  5. Give it room. sitta needs a wide panel. The bottom of the screen or a second monitor suits it far better than a narrow column.

Not showing up under UXP Plugins? Quit Premiere completely and reopen it. Adobe only looks for new panels at launch.

The AI runs on your own key

This sounds like a hurdle. It takes two minutes and it saves you money every month afterwards.

Most tools bundle the AI into the price, so you pay the same whether you use it once or a hundred times, and there is a margin on top of what it really costs. sitta does not do that. You connect your own key, the AI bills you directly for exactly what you used, and we never touch it.

You do not pay for what you do not use. A quiet month costs you nothing.

Google's Gemini has a free tier that needs no credit card at all. For a lot of editors that covers ordinary use outright.

Getting a key

  1. Go to aistudio.google.com/apikey and sign in with any Google account.
  2. Click Create API key. Let it make a project if it asks.
  3. Copy the key. It is a long string of letters and numbers. Treat it like a password.
  4. In sitta, open Settings and paste it into the Gemini field.

The key is stored on your own computer and nowhere else. sitta talks to Google straight from your machine. We never see it, and we could not use it if we wanted to.

sitta also works with Anthropic Claude and OpenAI for story editing. Watching your b-roll needs Gemini, because it is the one that can actually look at footage.

Heavy b-roll analysis can run past the free tier's daily limit. Turning on billing in your Google account lifts it, and you still only pay for what you use.

There is a spending limit built into sitta. Set a daily ceiling and it refuses a request before it goes out, rather than telling you afterwards.
